'Are You Scared of Me Now?'

<sub>“Are you scared of me now?” Victoria asked him softly, looking as though she didn’t really want to look him in the eye. Jacob simply stared for a moment, and then he shook his head.

“No, I’m not,” he assured her. “You haven’t done anything wrong, or anything to make me afraid of you. Don’t worry.”

“But I look scary,” she pointed out.</sub>

Graaaaah this took so damn long. My hands are dead.

These are Jacob and Victoria, two characters from my NaNoWriMo novel this year, Redsel <3 I'm pretty fond of both of them, especially Jacob. He's an awkward, clumsy loner who works as a trapper and lives in the middle of the woods with his dead brother's wife. And Victoria's just a typical little girl... OR IS SHE!? Guess you guys'll have to read it to find out.

But anyway, these two are pretty close friends at this point. I really, really wanted to draw this scene because it's my favorite, and it's iconic in the sense that it's a turning point for Jacob. He sorta realizes why all this terrible supernatural shit has been happening to him and he's all 'Oh god but okay I can do this I think'

There is so much I wish I would have remembered to draw, like Victoria's teddy bear, but I'll have to get to that later. I'll draw more with these two, I'm sure.
